Connect your WordPress website with ServiceNow

Thank you for checking out Sawfish Wordress Plugin for ServiceNow.

Here are the steps to quickly set up the connection between your WordPress website and ServiceNow instance.

This will let you both send and receive information between the two systems.

This means you can:

Show Records on your WordPress website from your ServiceNow instance and tables real-time (without the need for additonal platforms like Zapier and Make).

AND

Create an Update records (eg: Incidents, Change Requests, Tasks etc) in ServiceNow through a form in your WordPress site.

AND

Since the content loads from your WordPress site you will have full control on the styling and setup. No iframes, no embed codes, no slow scripts!

Make sure you have the Sawfish plugin installed before these steps.

Here’s the steps to get started Sawfish. There’s zero coding involved, you will be ready in a few clicks.

  1. Create an oAuth Application Registry entry on ServiceNow

  2. Enter the connection info on WordPress

  3. Connect!

Let’s begin!

Create a connection on ServiceNow Application Registry

This step will create the Credentials to set up a secure connection between ServiceNow and your WordPress website.

Log in to your ServiceNow instance. From the All button on the top left select System OAuth. Click on Application Registries.

Click on the New button on the top right.

Select Create an OAuth API endpoint for external clients.

Enter a name for your app, eg: Sawfish WordPress Connection.

In the Callback URL field in ServiceNow App setting enter the callback url that shows in the SWFSH ServiceNow menu in WordPress. You need to have the plugin installed to see this info.

Make sure the Active field is checked.

Click Save.

Enter the connection details on your WordPress website

Copy the Client ID and Client secret and paste these on the field in SWFSH ServiceNow page in WordPress.

Connect WordPress and ServiceNow

Once you have entered the connection info.

Click Connect

All Set!

You can now setup pages on your website using ServiceNow notes, set up forms and more!
